Chicago blues label Delmark Records celebrates its 65th anniversary at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. According to Timeout Chicago, the lineup on June 8 will give awesome performances. Chicago Blues Label Delmark Records was known for releasing albums for the following artists: Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Magic Sam, and many more.
Corey Dennison Band and Mississippi Heat, who are Modern Delmark artists as well, will kick off the evening’s event before a set of local performance will turn the tribute to Delmark’s most respected signees. On June 9, a long list of local performances will honor blues harpist, also known as harmonica player Little Walter. It can be recalled that he began in a blues club on Maxwell Street before joining Muddy Waters’ band.
